French Toast Bagels

This really is a simple yet delicious recipe and it only takes minutes to make. The kids will love making these and experimenting with different toppings. You could even serve them with a dollop of low fat ice cream or light aerosol cream in the middle for a quick and delicious dessert

French Toast Bagels

4 Bagel Slims

2 Eggs

2 Tablespoons Granulated Sweetener

1 Teaspoon Vanilla Essence


Whisk the eggs, sweetener and vanilla together.

Dip each bagel half into the egg mix and place on a baking tray. Cook in the oven at 180 for 5-8 minutes or until golden.

Caramel & Nut Topping


1 Tablespoon Golden Syrup

1 Teaspoon Butter

10g Chopped Nuts


Melt 1 Tablespoon Golden Syrup in a pan with one teaspoon butter and bring to the boil, add nuts and remove from heat to cool for 5 minutes, spoon over the bagels.

White Chocolate & Raspberry Topping


25g White Chocolate Chips

3 Frozen Raspberries


Melt the chocolate in the microwave for approx 30 seconds or in a bowl over a pan of hot water.

Break the raspberries with your fingers and sprinkle on to the bagels, drizzle over melted chocolate.
